DPhil Research Topic: The history of work in Britain and America during the First and Second Industrial Revolutions (c. 1750–1910). My dissertation examines the impact of new technology on jobs in order to understand the challenges of 21st century technological change and evaluate the efficacy of policy responses.
My research is supported by the Clarendon Fund and a Merton College Scholarship in Modern History.
