In the Flame of a Proper Lamp: Glass and Glassblowing in Making Modern Chemistry
In celebration of the UN International Year of Glass, the Department of Chemistry is live-streaming a lecture-demonstration on Thursday 7 July, 14:40-15:45 (BST). Join Associate Professor of History of Science, Dr Catherine Jackson, and Master Glassblower, Terri Adams, as they uncover the role of glass-making in advancing the study of chemistry. This lecture-demonstration, which is being held in the Mary Ogilvie Lecture Theatre at St Anne’s College, will include a live demonstration of glass-making.
